almost another month has passed since my last entry... what have i been up to..

last week i was in berlin for 3 days for a work conference. i quite liked berlin, it was much hotter there than i expected, 30 degrees!! unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to look at the sites, only in the evenings, we walked to the brandenburg gate (only 5 mins away from our hotel), saw the berlin wall memorial and also the sony centre.. also found a really cool bar if anyone is going to go - its called Solar, and its on the top floor of a building so the views are good and they have white leather sofas and even 2 swings! its very trendy

i'm still looking to buy a flat.. there was a flat i was really interested in, a repossessed flat so it sounded perfect in that it would be a bargin.. unfortunately someone paid well over the asking price for it making it out of my budget  so the search continues.. i really can't wait to start planning furniture and decorating

there's a mouse in my flat (AGAIN) arrrgggh.... should have really expected it by now as we've had a mouse in every flat we've lived in ever since moving to london aaargghh and we have been keeping clean, we even have a cleaning rota so the whole house gets cleaned once a week... i've just bought these sonic plug in things which plug into electrical supply and produce an ultrasound which repels mice.. sounds cool... hope it works

i'm also working with a new guy at work who i find incredibly annoying, vain, patronisiong and arrogant aarrgh so having some issues at the moment at work... have got to rise above it >_< 

Thinking back...

i have grown up in the past 2 years... and will continue to grow... 

yikes  another 3 months have passed and i haven't written a post...

well, the things that have happened to me in the past 3 months:

1. i went to NY at the end of feb for work  it was my first business trip and i have to say, upper class is the way forward mwa ha ha... it was bitterly bitterly cold there.. well apart from 1 day where it was really nice and warm which was strange, i did some shopping, met up with my cousins there and went to work of course

2. i've started taking mandarin lessons at work.. for a couple of weeks now. the teacher i have at the moment is quite nice, although last week, she asked me how old i was.. i said 25 and it turns out she's the same age as me.. i thought she was older and she thought i was younger than her from the stuff i say and the way i speak  i choose to take that as a compliment

3. our crappy house is continuing to fall apart.. the boiler wasn't working for 3 whole weeks.. stupid incompetent estate agents - we didn't have heating or hot water   STUPID INCOMPETENT ESTATE AGENTS... the boiler was broken so they eventually sent someone around to fix it, then had to order some parts, then when the parts came, they realised it was more broken than they first thought and so had to order some more parts again and had to wait over a week for that raaar BULLMAN BOOTH SUCKS anyhow that's all fixed now, touch wood grrrr just makes me angry thinking about it still

4. played squash for the first time with william and joyce who are pros... me and yuting are beginners but i'm even more of a beginner than yuting.. somehow he just manages to hit the ball v hard everytime.. i just ended up with a sore arm for the entire weekend >_< but we both have our own squash racquets now  so looking forward to practising and playing FOR FUN hehe

5. my flatmate mel has moved to florence for 3 months to work and to be with her bf there.. am going to visit for a weekend in april along with 2 other girls hehe, that should be fun, will go and see the hills etc... and it also turns out that all the turtles are in florence... leonardo, donatello, raphael and michaelangelo.. there's no sign of splinter there though 

i think that's about it for now.. wonder if anyone still reads my blog as i haven't updated for a while...  ho hum....
